    Three Girl Riders Take Ferry
Part Way On Trip To Daytona
Pat Wershing of Dover, N. J.; Gloria
Tramontin of Clifton, N. J., and Vi Phillips
of New York City (from left to right in the
cut) rode their bikes down to Daytona for
the races. Part of the journey was a two-
    hour-forty-five-minute ferry trip while cross-
ing over to Little Creek, Va.
Pat wrote a letter about this trip and
entered it in American MOTORCYCLING S
letter contest. See it in the letter section in
    this issue.
    Girl Members Lay Out Course
Two girl members of the Square Deal
Riders, Binghamton, N. Y., laid the course
for the club's recent turkey run, and from
all reports did a creditable job of it. De-
spite the hard, frozen ground, the girls
drove stakes with red flags for the markers,
because of the snow. Caroline Darling and
Lucie Merrill are the young ladies who
braved the cold and proved that they know
what this motorcycle game is all about.
Another girl member, Leona Boland, was
the only feminine rider in the run.

A newspaper clipping sent in by Doris

like this: "Mombasa, Kenya Colony, Africa,
