Buck Smith Wins Cross Country Championship
Buck Smith for the second consecutive time won the
National Championship (Hare and Hound) Cross
Country run near Adelanto, Calif. Approximately 300
starters vied for top honors over 150 miles of rugged
Mojave Desert which included crossing the Mojave
River swelled by the melting snows of the San Ber-
nardino Mountains. Smith is the first rider ever to
win this particular title two years in a row.
Clear cool skies greeted the riders for this run which
was sponsored by the Four Aces MC in the San Fer-
nando Valley of Southern California. Congratulations
go to the Four Aces for a fine run and a well prepared
championship.
