    Description

Here is the most beautiful, natural half-log siding you will find anywhere at or below wholesale prices!
    The Logs!
This auction is for 8” stack log siding in any quantity you need made from white pine logs.
(Orders under 1,000 linear feet will be subject to a set up/handling charge.)
The natural surface, hand-peeled siding is an actual 3” average/variable thickness and comes in 8’, 10', and 12' lengths. This siding can be used for either the interior or exterior of your home.
Thicker siding is also available; it is 4 ½” thick and is commonly used for the exterior.
    Different widths are also available:
6" at .40 per linear feet
10” at .95 per linear feet
12” at .68 per linear feet
Use your imagination!  We like mixing the different widths to give a true handcrafted look!
    (6”, 8”, 10”, etc.)
This log comes in two different styles: modern and natural.
The modern has been sawn to a more uniform shape and the knots are flat.  It then has been gone over with a draw knife.
The natural has a more rustic appearance and has raised knots, bumps, and all the natural characteristics of the log.
Both styles have been peeled by hand using draw knives and muscle with true craftsmanship, the old fashion way.
The logs are then air dried to 20% surface moisture.
    (
Kiln dried products are also available but do cost 30% more due to the overhead costs.)
The siding is in its natural state – no staining or finishes have been applied so you can personalize it to your liking.
The price for the 8" siding is .00 per linear foot or .50 per square foot.

How to Figure How Much You Will Need
It takes 1.5 linear feet of siding to cover 1 square foot.  For example:  If 100 square feet are needed, take 100 and multiply it by 1.5; this equals 150 linear feet.  This is the amount of log siding needed in linear feet.
Remember to add some for waste - which may vary from job to job.  A good estimate is 10% for walls and 15% for gables.  If there are a few windows and doors in the wall, the square footage can be figured and ignore the windows and door and this will give the extra needed.
Subtract off any large areas such as garage doors and picture windows by figuring out the square footage of each and take this off the total square footage.
The square footage on gable ends can be figured easily by multiplying the width at the bottom by the height from the eve or top of the wall up to the peak and divide by 2.  Then add at least 15% for waste due to the angles.  If there are two gables, skip dividing by 2.  If help is needed in figuring the quantity needed, please feel free to email and we can assist you.
