Description

The LPG Tank Filler valve allows propane liquid to flow into the vehicle. It serves as a safety mechanism to prevent propane cylinder accidents, and mandatory on all forklift propane tanks of 40 lbs or less.
The filler valve cap's purpose is to keep water and other debris from entering the valve. If the debris enters, it could save the discs from closing, allowing the gas to escape.

How to Replace Your LPG Tank Filler Valve?
Make sure your forklift propane tank cylinder is empty.
Please do not remove your forklift tank filler valve from your cylinder; use it to release the remaining gas.
Next, close your valve. Make sure your tank is secured so it does not move.
Use a heat gun to melt the weld between LPG Tank Filler Valve and the cylinder.
Turn the valve counterclockwise using a pipe wrench to dismantle the cylinder.
Install your new forklift tank filler valve and tighten it using a pipe wrench.
