    Description

    This early (1961 design) note was issued on February 27, 1964.  It is described in the Quarmby book on Manx paper money as being similar to the 10 shilling note it replaced.  This one is rated 66 PPQ (preferred paper quality) GEM NEW.  PCGS is the leading independent grading company, and its grades are not inflated like other less reputable companies.  This note is listed in the Pick catalog as Number 25a (the "a" being for the first signer, R.H. Garvey).  This is a RARE note in this condition.  A similar note sold 2 years ago at Heritage Auction for 6.25, and these high quality notes have been increasing in price.
