When a VeinHunter is placed on the skin, the light uniformly illuminates the superficial tissues inside the ring. De-oxygenated blood in veins absorbs the light so veins show as dark lines within the illuminated area. VeinHunter Device consists of two types of LED(Light Emitting Diode), One tray of orange and another red light. The orange light is optimal for viewing superficial veins whereas the red light is for viewing deeper vein. VeinHunter can help find veins in several different areas of the body such as forearms, legs, thighs and scalp.
